This 8-day trip offers immersion into the dynamic art scenes of both Miami and Havana, Cuba. Begin in Miami for three nights at the Betsy Hotel, a boutique and historic art deco hotel on Miami Beach. Highlights include a walking tour of Little Havana, private tours of the Perez Art Museum and of the Museum of Contemporary Art, and a visit to the famed Wynwood Walls. In Havana, the Biennial Art Festival will be in full swing, with innovative art showcased everywhere in the city. We’ll visit well-known and emerging artists in their studios, explore secret pop-up galleries, spend a day in the fishing village of Cojimar seeing Hemingway’s former house and much more.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO MIAMI

  • Upon arrival, transfer to your charming and idyllic boutique hotel on Miami Beach. After check-in, gather on the rooftop for a cocktail. Enjoy dinner independently with an evening for leisure.

DAY 2: MIAMI

A historic boutique 4* hotel in Miami

  • Today, begin with a private tour of the Perez Art Museum. Enjoy lunch at Verde Restaurant with views of Biscayne Bay. Following, take a private walking tour of Little Havana as you meander through the neighborhood to focus on Cuban art. Upon return to the hotel, enjoy an exclusive private behind-the-scenes tour of the hotel's extensive modern art collection paired with a conversation with a local historian of Cuba of the Miami-perspective on the US-Cuba relations past and present.

DAY 3: MIAMI

A historic boutique 4* hotel in Miami

  • This morning, visit the art district of Wynwood for a private walking tour of the famed Wynwood Walls street murals. Lunch at a locally-esteemed restaurant promises a unique culinary experience. The afternoon is devoted to the Museum of Contemporary Art. Return this afternoon to the hotel for a late afternoon of leisure prior to a special dinner prepared for you alongside the north Miami Beach.

DAY 4: MIAMI + HAVANA

  • Following breakfast, depart for your morning flight to Havana. Upon arrival, your Cuban English-speaking guide will lead you in a cultural orientation to the city. You'll visit the Revolution Plaza, take a private walking tour of Old Havana and enjoy lunch at a local Paladar. Prior to your check in at your boutique hotel, visit one of the Biennial's secret pop-up galleries, installed in Old Havana. This evening, walk to an esteemed Paladar and enjoy a group Welcome to Cuba Dinner. An optional addition upon request: Enjoy drinks and a show at the Buena Vista Social Club.

DAY 5: HAVANA

  • Our morning will be devoted to fine art museums in Old Havana and features privately guided tours of the Museo de Bellas Artes, concentrating on the Cuban fine arts collection, and the Centro de Arte Contemporaneo Wilfredo Lam, housed in the 18th-century Casa de los Condes de Penalver. In addition, we'll visit a curated section of galleries in Old Havana. Savor your lunch at a local gem. Continue this afternoon with a visit to an artist studio, an artisan market, and the famed Muraleando neighborhood to see Cuban street art. Enjoy your evening at leisure. An optional addition upon request: Evening at renowned jazz club, La Zorra y El Cuervo Night Club.

DAY 6: HAVANA + MIRAMAR

  • Today, drive to the Miramar neighborhood for sweeping views of Havana and continue exploring the Cultural Corridor of Linea Street with an exclusive visit to the Institute of Superior Arts, the national art school for Cuba's young artists. Lunch at a distinguished Paladar, which overlooks the river in Miramar, and includes access to an artist home and studio. In the afternoon, visit the Pabello Cuba, the site where Cuban artists create installations in response to Cuban architecture, as well as Behind the Wall, a one kilometer corridor populated with artists and galleries. This evening, dine at an esteemed Paladar in Miramar.

DAY 7: HAVANA + COJIMAR

A boutique 5*hotel in Havana

  • Cojimar, the fishing village setting of Ernest Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea, is the destination today. Begin with a visit to the Raul Corrales Gallery--displaying photographs documenting the Cuban revolution. Savor your lunch at a local Paladar in the neighborhood. In the afternoon, explore El Taller Chullima, an exhibition curated by Wilfredo Prieto--merging various mediums, including cuisine. En route back to the hotel, visit the private home and workshop of two artist brothers. Enjoy dinner at Havana's famous Paladar La Guarida.

DAY 8: DEPART HAVANA + MIAMI

  • Following breakfast, transfer to the Havana airport for your international flight back to Miami. Upon arrival connect to your domestic flight back to your home.

Terms & Conditions (Worldwide Willett, LLC)

Your Terms & Conditions will be enclosed in your Registration Packet upon sign-up. You may also obtain a copy by submitting a request to info@worldwidewillett.com.

Passport

If traveling internationally, you must be in possession of a passport valid for 6 months after the return from your trip.

Deposit (Pre-planned trips)

A $1,500 non-refundable deposit is required for each traveler to secure the booking. 50% of your balance is due 30 days following your confirmation (varies by destination). Your final balance is due 90 days prior to the trip start date (dependent on the trip)

Rates + Fares

Rates quoted are accurate at the time of quotation and are subject to change until the program is confirmed. All rates are based upon official exchange rates that are guaranteed once programs are paid in full. Air quotes are based on current fares and are subject to change prior to ticketing. Rates are based on confidential tariffs and quoted for a complete program. No price breakdowns will be provided.

Payment

Payments can be made either by 1) full payment on booking 2) Deposit on booking + payment schedule. Payments will be invoiced via email for credit card or via check by mail.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations, less the trip deposit, are refundable up to 90 days prior to the trip start date unless otherwise specified. In addition to the above, you will be liable for any non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers on your behalf. There is no refund for a partially completed tour or for unused services of any kind.

Flexible Booking Policy Specific to COVID-19

In the wake of COVID-19, Worldwide Willett, LLC has implemented a flexible booking policy that allows for deposits and payments to be transferable to the greatest extent possible to new trip dates, should a recurrence of COVID-19 render travel impossible due to border closures and related travel restrictions.

Travel Insurance

The trip price does not include travel insurance. Trip protection-style travel insurance that includes travel medical coverage is required for all trips with Worldwide Willett, LLC. The coverage must have a minimum $200,000 of medical coverage and include injury, medical, evacuation, and repatriation. Trip insurance information will be included upon your registration.

Airlines

Worldwide Willett, LLC has no control over any airline operations and is not responsible for schedule changes, delays or cancellations. Airline delays and any extra expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the airline.

Force Majeure

Worldwide Willett, LLC is not liable for acts of God, fire, weather, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangers incident to sea, land and air travel and other similar incidents beyond its control.

Responsibility

Worldwide Willett, LLC is a Georgia-based corporation purchasing transportation, hotel and cruise accommodations, restaurants and other services from various independent suppliers not affiliated with Worldwide Willett, LLC in any way. Although Worldwide Willett, LLC chooses the best suppliers available, the company has no right to control their operations and CANNOT, THEREFORE, BE LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS which may occur due to (1) wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts of omission on the part of a supplier, its employees and others not under the direct control of Worldwide Willett, LLC, or (2) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment under the control of independent suppliers.

Documents, Personal Identification, Vaccinations

Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for all required travel documents including passport, visas, entry or exit fees, and vaccinations. Travelers are also solely responsible for any adverse consequences resulting from incomplete or defective documentation. Worldwide Willett, LLC does not cover the cost or assist in obtaining any of the above, and reserves the right to collect information on all.
