DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO DELHI

The Lalit, Deluxe Room

  • Welcome to India! Upon arrival at the Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), your private driver will transfer you to your hotel in the heart of Delhi. Settle in and rest up or explore the area. Because many flights from the west arrive late in the evening, we will not have any group activities planned. However, your Worldwide Willett host will be on site to provide options for your free time and dinner plans.

DAY 2: DELHI

The Lalit, Deluxe Room

  • Meet famous food historian, Sohil Hashmi, who will lead you through India’s Cultural Heritage Cuisine on a Culinary Walking Tour. Highlights include Qutub Minar, UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Mausoleum of Emperor Humayun. Savor your Welcome to India Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3: DELHI

The Lalit, Deluxe Room

  • Today, take an early morning visit to the Okhla Mandi, the wholesale vegetable and fruit market. Tour Old Delhi, including the highlight of Red Fort. From here, board pedicabs to converse the bustling streets of Chandini Chowk, also known as Golden Street. See the largest spice market and jeweler row of Kenari Bazaar. Conclude your day at Gandhi’s Memorial, Rajghat. This evening is yours to delight in at your leisure.

DAY 4: DELHI + AGRA

  • This morning, board your exclusive motor coach to the infamous city of Agra (approximately 4.5-hour drive). Upon your arrival, check into your hotel and rest up. Later this afternoon, gather for a Heritage Walking Tour, including visits to the Fort Army Gate, Ambedkar Park, Jama Masjid, and more. Take a sunset visit to UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Taj Mahal. This evening is at your leisure.

DAY 5: AGRA + JAIPUR

ITC Rajputana, Rajputana Chamber Room

  • Today, enjoy your scenic drive to Jaipur (approximately 7-hour drive). En route, dependent upon availability, stop and have an exclusively private lunch with the Royal Family. Upon your arrival to Jaipur, check into your luxurious boutique hotel. This evening, take a Heritage Walking Tour in the old part of Jaipur city, visiting the local bazaars, markets, and shops.

DAY 6: JAIPUR

ITC Rajputana, Rajputana Chamber Room

  • This morning, take a sightseeing day in Jaipur. Highlights include UNESCO World Heritage Site, Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of the Winds, the City Palace, and an observatory built by the astronomer King Jai Singh II—the Jantar Mantar. This evening, enjoy a cooking demonstration and dinner with a local family.

DAY 7: JAIPUR + VARANASI

Taj Ganges, Executive Room

  • Transfer to the Jaipur Airport for your flight to Varanasi, connecting via Delhi. According to Hindu mythology, the city of Varanasi was founded by the god Shiva. It is still called ‘The City of Shiva’ and devotion to the deity is frequently discovered in the ancient Hindu scriptures.

    Upon arrival in Varanasi, meet and transfer to your hotel. Later this evening, travel via boat and proceed to the Ganges to witness the Aarti prayer ceremony.

DAY 8: VARANASI

Taj Ganges, Executive Room

  • Today, enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the River Ganges. Take a Walking Tour through shore temples, including the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Following breakfast at the hotel, visit the sleepy village of Singhpur to see Sarnath, a Buddhist center where Gautama Buddha first came and taught about the concepts of Dharma.

  • Later this afternoon, learn about foods in the Sattvic Diet.

DAY 9: VARANASI + LUCKNOW

Taj Mahal, Superior Charm Room

  • Transfer to the Varanasi Airport and depart for Lucknow, the heart of North Indian culture, a city famous for its hospitality, dance, and intricate embroidery.

  • Upon arrival, spend the afternoon at leisure before gathering this evening for an exclusive visit and private dinner at the House of Kathwara.

  • Meals: B, D

DAY 10: LUCKNOW

Taj Mahal, Superior Charm Room

  • Enjoy a Heritage Walking Tour through Lucknow and witness the ancient villas and palaces, learning about the revolt of 1857, the beginning of India’s struggle for freedom. Continue with a city tour of Lucknow, followed by viewing the highest clock tower in Asia, the Hussain Abad Imam Bara. 

  • Gather this evening and explore your palette with a cooking demonstration of Awadhi cuisine—a cuisine known for its rich and subtle flavors, long preparation, and gentle cooking over a low flame.

DAY 11: LUCKNOW + KOLKATA

Oberoi Grand, Deluxe Room

  • This morning, transfer to the Lucknow Airport for your flight to Kolkata—the former capital of the British Raj and the third largest metropolis in India. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. 

  • Later this evening, take a Walking Food Tour of Kolkata. With your expert foodie and guide, participate in a gastronomic discovery by exploring delicious street food and local restaurants.

DAY 12: KOLKATA

Oberoi Grand, Deluxe Room

  • Today, take a Half-Day City Tour of Kolkata, visiting the Marble Palace, St. John’s Church, and Jorasanko Thakur Bari, the ancestral home of Rabindranath Tagore, Nobel Prize Winner for Literature. 
    This afternoon, see the Kali Temple and Kumartulli, experiencing the art of idol making. 

  • Tonight, gather for a Cooking Demonstration, followed by a Farewell to India Dinner.

DAY 13: DEPART KOLKATA

  • This morning, following breakfast, transfer to the airport to connect to your international flight to the USA and treasure the culinary and cultural delights of your experience in India.

Your Trip Price

*On group trips, you’ll be paired with a roommate of your same gender unless you request your own room.

Your India quotation has been prepared for 13 days & 12 nights.

Terms & Conditions (Worldwide Willett, LLC)

Your Terms & Conditions will be enclosed in your Registration Packet upon sign-up. You may also obtain a copy by submitting a request to info@worldwidewillett.com.

Passport

If traveling internationally, you must be in possession of a passport valid for 6 months after the return from your trip.

Deposit (Pre-planned trips)

A $1,500 non-refundable deposit is required for each traveler to secure the booking. 50% of your balance is due 30 days following your confirmation (varies by destination). Your final balance is due 90 days prior to the trip start date (dependent on the trip)

Rates + Fares

Rates quoted are accurate at the time of quotation and are subject to change until the program is confirmed. All rates are based upon official exchange rates that are guaranteed once programs are paid in full. Air quotes are based on current fares and are subject to change prior to ticketing. Rates are based on confidential tariffs and quoted for a complete program. No price breakdowns will be provided.

Payment

Payments can be made either by 1) full payment on booking 2) Deposit on booking + payment schedule. Payments will be invoiced via email for credit card or via check by mail.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations, less the trip deposit, are refundable up to 90 days prior to the trip start date unless otherwise specified. In addition to the above, you will be liable for any non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers on your behalf. There is no refund for a partially completed tour or for unused services of any kind.

Flexible Booking Policy Specific to COVID-19

In the wake of COVID-19, Worldwide Willett, LLC has implemented a flexible booking policy that allows for deposits and payments to be transferable to the greatest extent possible to new trip dates, should a recurrence of COVID-19 render travel impossible due to border closures and related travel restrictions.

Travel Insurance

The trip price does not include travel insurance. Trip protection-style travel insurance that includes travel medical coverage is required for all trips with Worldwide Willett, LLC. The coverage must have a minimum $200,000 of medical coverage and include injury, medical, evacuation, and repatriation. Trip insurance information will be included upon your registration.

Airlines

Worldwide Willett, LLC has no control over any airline operations and is not responsible for schedule changes, delays or cancellations. Airline delays and any extra expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the airline.

Force Majeure

Worldwide Willett, LLC is not liable for acts of God, fire, weather, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangers incident to sea, land and air travel and other similar incidents beyond its control.

Responsibility

Worldwide Willett, LLC is a Georgia-based corporation purchasing transportation, hotel and cruise accommodations, restaurants and other services from various independent suppliers not affiliated with Worldwide Willett, LLC in any way. Although Worldwide Willett, LLC chooses the best suppliers available, the company has no right to control their operations and CANNOT, THEREFORE, BE LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS which may occur due to (1) wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts of omission on the part of a supplier, its employees and others not under the direct control of Worldwide Willett, LLC, or (2) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment under the control of independent suppliers.

Documents, Personal Identification, Vaccinations

Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for all required travel documents including passport, visas, entry or exit fees, and vaccinations. Travelers are also solely responsible for any adverse consequences resulting from incomplete or defective documentation. Worldwide Willett, LLC does not cover the cost or assist in obtaining any of the above, and reserves the right to collect information on all.
