DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO VENICE

(Hotel Metropole, 5-star)

  • Upon arrival, you are met by a welcome escort and driver and transferred via water taxi to your accommodation, Hotel Metropole, for a 2-night stay. This 5-star luxury historic property is situated in the heart of Venice, a position from which it dominates the Lagoon, with a view of the Island of San Giorgio. With its exquisite attention to detail and service, this property is the perfect place to begin your Italian holiday.

DAY 2: VENICE

(Hotel Metropole, 5-star)

  • Begin your morning with a walking tour of St. Mark’s Square. As you stroll through the square, enjoy an in-depth viewing of Doge’s Palace and the magnificent Basilica, featuring the stunning golden mosaics. The afternoon is at your leisure. Suggestions for your independent exploration include: climbing the Campanile, Venice’s famous Bell Tower or to sipping on an Aperol spritz at a nearby café.

  • This evening, take a dusk gondola ride through Venice’s famous canals to Welcome to Venice dinner at Antico Martini with singing musicians.

DAY 3: VENICE

  • Today is a full-day exploration of the islands of Murano and Burano. Murano, also known as the “glass island,” is world-renowned for its beautiful glass-making.

  • Following your tour in Murano, stop for your 3-course luncheon.

  • This afternoon, continue your tour to the isle of Burano, replete with brightly colored houses and intricate lacework.

  • Evening at leisure.

DAY 4: VENICE + ROME

  • Meet your escort at your hotel and take a water taxi to the Piazzale Roma train station for your 4-hour train journey to Rome.

  • Upon arrival, you are met by a welcome escort and driver and transferred to your accommodation, Donna Camilla Savelli for a 3-night stay.

  • One-way train ticket from Venice to Rome included, as well as a private airport transfer for those just joining the tour

  • Tonight, enjoy the sunset views on the rooftop followed by a Welcome to Rome Dinner.

DAY 5: ROME

  • This morning, travel via private minivans for a private tour of the Vatican Museum.

  • Following your tour, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

  • This evening, transfer from the hotel for an exclusive three-hour private night tour of the Colosseum. Exact times of the tour will be given in your final documents.

DAY 6: ROME

Tuscan Villa Program Begins

DAY 7: ROME + TUSCAN VILLA

  • This morning, check out of the hotel. Meet your driver and be privately transferred (approximately 4 hour drive) to your exclusively private Tuscan Villa, Castello La Leccia in the Chianti region of charming Tuscany.

  • Castello La Leccia is situated on a hilltop in Tuscany, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. This boutique agro-tourism resort is an 11th century castle estate offering exclusive luxury accommodations with spectacular views over the Tuscan countryside. Decorated with exquisite furnishings and accompanied with its own restaurant, wine cellar, private pool and sun-deck, the property showcases Frances Mayes, Under the Tuscan Sun in an unsurpassable setting.

  • Upon arrival at Castello La Leccia, be met by your private staff and offered a complimentary Welcome Cocktail. After checking into the villa, you are free to retire to your room for some rest and relaxation or explore the estate.

  • After freshening up, enjoy an al fresco Welcome Dinner on the beautiful grounds of Castello La Leccia.

DAY 8: TUSCAN VILLA

  • Today, soak in the beauty and wonder of your private villa for a day of leisure. Select to take a swim in the private pool, relax in the private sauna/steam room, take a walk around the property, or have a massage (additional cost).

  • This morning, vans will be available to take a half-day excursion for shopping at the market. Here, you will be able to pick up food and wine of your choosing to prepare at the villa.

  • This evening, we will have a Potluck Dinner with the local chef! We’ll have time to discuss the menu and sign up for the dish you’d like the chef to prepare. 

  • Feel free to bring wine, cheese and crackers from your day at the market to enjoy as an apertivo beforehand. 

  • After dinner, there will be an optional Game Night. Bring your favorite game or choose from the many options we’ll have available.

DAY 9: TUSCAN VILLA + SIENA

(Castello La Leccia, Exclusively Private Villa, 4-Star)

  • This morning, meet your driver and travel via private coach to Siena (approximately one- hour drive).  

  • Siena is both a city and a province of Tuscany. Declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, its historic center is one of the nation’s most visited cities. Set on three hills, the city is drawn together by its winding alleyways and steps with Piazza del Campo at its heart and the Duomo and Saint Maria della Scala as cultural landmarks. It is famed for the Palio, the annual historic horse races.

  • Upon arrival to Siena, relish in the charm of the city with shopping at the Italian markets, situated around Medici’s Fortress.

  • Enjoy a three-course a la terrasse lunch in the Piazza del Campo, witnessing the beautiful rhythm of Italian life (includes one glass of wine & one glass of mineral water per person).

  • This afternoon, take a private walking tour of Siena, including a private visit to the Siena Cathedral, an iconic wonder (approximately three hours).

  • Return to the villa for an evening at leisure and enjoy some free time. You may select to dine out in a town nearby. If this is your preference, car services can be arranged.

DAY 10: TUSCAN VILLA + FLORENCE

  • This morning, meet your driver and transfer in a private coach to Florence (approximately a 1.5 hour drive).  

  • Florence is situated in northeastern Tuscany, in the basin crossed by the Arno River. As one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, it is filled with historical relics and artistic masterpieces including Michelangelo, Alberti, and Giotto. Radiating the charm of Italian culture, throughout history, Florence has played an important role in the world’s culture. Home of the Italian Renaissance, this city is rich in cuisine, art, and history.

  • Upon your arrival, take a privately guided walking tour of the city (approximately 1.5 hours) to learn of the wonderous charms of this Tuscan city. Take an exclusive private tour of the Galleria dell'Accademia and view Michaelangelo’s David, as well as other artistic masterpieces.

  • Following, gather for a three-course dinner at a local restaurant.

  • Following dinner, enjoy the nightlife of Florence.

DAY 11: TUSCAN VILLA

  • At your leisure, enjoy the villa for the day or independently arrange for a tour to another town you’d like to explore. Please note: There will be additional costs for transportation and/or guide services. If you wish to reserve a private tour or car service, please do so on the day of arrival. We’ll assist in arranging group bookings for those who have similar interests.

  • Optional activities include: soaking up some sun by the pool, relaxing time in the private steam or sauna, reading outside in the garden, or a relaxing massage (appointment available upon request).

  • This evening, gather for an Italian Barbecue dinner at the villa.

  • Following dinner, gather for Tuscany’s Got Talent!

  • Participate as a contestant or judge or simply be part of the audience and enjoy the talent. Notify Andrea prior to departure to request music or props. A fun evening for all including fabulous prizes for the winners!

DAY 12: TUSCAN VILLA

  • This afternoon, gather at the villa for a Private Cooking Class with a Master Chef, followed by your meal.

  • Afterwards, enjoy a private tour of Monteriggioni Castle, built between 1213-1219 and representing one of the most important walled castles in the territory.

  • Following your tour, the remainder of the day and evening is free. Join us for an optional Pajama Dance Party at the Villa! And yes, prizes will be awarded to the best pajamas!

DAY 13: TUSCAN VILLA + SAN GIMIGNANO + CHIANTI

  • This morning, meet your driver and transfer in a private coach to San Gimignano (approximately a one- hour drive).  

  • San Gimignano is an Italian hill town in Tuscany, situated southwest of Florence. Encircled by 13th-century walls, the old town is encompassed by Piazza della Cisterna. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it showcases a skyline of medieval towers, including Torre Grossa. The Duomo di San Gimignano, a 12th-century church with frescoes by Ghirlandaio is a central landmark of the town.

  • Meet your guide for a private tour of the town.

  • Following, enjoy a light lunch at a local organic Fattoria (Italian organic farm).

  • This afternoon, travel to a local wine estate in Chianti for a tour and wine tasting.

  • Return to the villa this evening for a Farewell to Italy Dinner.

DAY 14: DEPART ITALY

  • Today, depart Castello La Leccia back to the USA. Private transfer to Florence Airport included (approximately a 1 hour drive).

Your Trip Price

*On group trips, you’ll be paired with a roommate of your same gender unless you request your own room.

Your journey starts in Venice and concludes in Tuscan Villa + San Gimignano + Chianti.

Your Bella Italia quotation has been prepared for 14 days & 13 nights.

 

Pricing is dependent on total of party and season traveling.

Option to add your own private room for an additional cost.

Terms & Conditions (Worldwide Willett, LLC)

Your Terms & Conditions will be enclosed in your Registration Packet upon sign-up. You may also obtain a copy by submitting a request to info@worldwidewillett.com.

Passport

If traveling internationally, you must be in possession of a passport valid for 6 months after the return from your trip.

Deposit (Pre-planned trips)

A $1,500 non-refundable deposit is required for each traveler to secure the booking. 50% of your balance is due 30 days following your confirmation (varies by destination). Your final balance is due 90 days prior to the trip start date (dependent on the trip). 

Rates + Fares

Rates quoted are accurate at the time of quotation and are subject to change until the program is confirmed. All rates are based upon official exchange rates that are guaranteed once programs are paid in full. Air quotes are based on current fares and are subject to change prior to ticketing. Rates are based on confidential tariffs and quoted for a complete program. No price breakdowns will be provided.

Payment

Payments can be made either by 1) full payment on booking 2) Deposit on booking + payment schedule. Payments will be invoiced via email for credit card or via check by mail.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations, less the trip deposit, are refundable up to 90 days prior to the trip start date unless otherwise specified. In addition to the above, you will be liable for any non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers on your behalf. There is no refund for a partially completed tour or for unused services of any kind.

Flexible Booking Policy Specific to COVID-19

In the wake of COVID-19, Worldwide Willett, LLC has implemented a flexible booking policy that allows for deposits and payments to be transferable to the greatest extent possible to new trip dates, should a recurrence of COVID-19 render travel impossible due to border closures and related travel restrictions.

Travel Insurance

The trip price does not include travel insurance. Trip protection-style travel insurance that includes travel medical coverage is required for all trips with Worldwide Willett, LLC. The coverage must have a minimum $200,000 of medical coverage and include injury, medical, evacuation, and repatriation. Trip insurance information will be included upon your registration.

Airlines

Worldwide Willett, LLC has no control over any airline operations and is not responsible for schedule changes, delays or cancellations. Airline delays and any extra expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the airline.

Force Majeure

Worldwide Willett, LLC is not liable for acts of God, fire, weather, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangers incident to sea, land and air travel and other similar incidents beyond its control.

Responsibility

Worldwide Willett, LLC is a Georgia-based corporation purchasing transportation, hotel and cruise accommodations, restaurants and other services from various independent suppliers not affiliated with Worldwide Willett, LLC in any way. Although Worldwide Willett, LLC chooses the best suppliers available, the company has no right to control their operations and CANNOT, THEREFORE, BE LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS which may occur due to (1) wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts of omission on the part of a supplier, its employees and others not under the direct control of Worldwide Willett, LLC, or (2) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment under the control of independent suppliers.

Documents, Personal Identification, Vaccinations

Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for all required travel documents including passport, visas, entry or exit fees, and vaccinations. Travelers are also solely responsible for any adverse consequences resulting from incomplete or defective documentation. Worldwide Willett, LLC does not cover the cost or assist in obtaining any of the above, and reserves the right to collect information on all.
