DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN PONTA DELGADA + PICO
Welcomed by your guide and driver upon arrival at the Pico airport. Transfer to your authentic Portuguese accommodation. Once you've settled in, enjoy your afternoon at leisure. This evening, gather and experience the Azores true hospitality with a Welcome to the Azores Dinner paired with local Azorean cocktails.

DAY 2: PICO
A locally-run boutique 4* hotel in Pico
Following breakfast, depart via jeep to Arcos do Cachorro, an array of impressive rock formations. Continue your adventure with a visit to a local wine cellar, Adega Buraca for an exclusive tour, wine tasting, and lunch. Enjoy Lagoa do Capitão and Lajes, the first settlement on the island. Furthermore, vist the Whaler's Museum and learn about the Azores' rich nautical history. En route back to your hotel, stop at Mistério de São João, filled with extensive fields of lava with pine trees. Enjoy your evening at leisure.

DAY 3: PICO + SAO JORGE ISLAND
A locally-run boutique 4* hotel in Pico
After your delicious breakfast, meet your private local guide and head to the western part of the island, Ponta dos Rosais, via the Forestry Park and Cheese Factory, where your palette will be awakened to the savory cheeses of the region. Continue north to Fajas, a micro-climatic part of the island. Continue to Calheta and enjoy lunch at a local cafe and witness the grandeur of the Church of St. Barbara. Afterwards, learn about the coffee farming process at Faja dos Vimes, a local coffee plantation. Enjoy a guided walk to Velas and witness local village life. Conclude your afternoon via ferry (approximately 50-minutes) as you return to Pico for an evening of leisure.

DAY 4: PICO - SAO MIGUEL
Accommodation: A locally-run boutique 4* hotel in São Miguel
Today, visit the Torres Cave, containing the largest known lava tube in the Autonomous Region of the Azores. Experience the natural environment of the cave with an authentic lantern and helmet. Awaken your palette for a delicious lunch and then transfer to the Pico airport for your flight to São Miguel. Upon arrival, meet your guide and driver and transfer to your luxury boutique hotel for an evening of leisure.

DAY 5: SAO MIGUEL
Accommodation: A locally-run boutique 4* hotel in São Miguel
Awake this morning and visit the Ponta Delgada market. Continue your exploration of nature at Sete Cidades and witness the mountains draped in green pastures and cows. Witness Vista do Rei, a breathtaking view of the green and blue lake of Sete Cidades. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Opt to participate in an adventuresome kayaking experience as you tour the area via water vessel.
Your evening will be at leisure.

DAY 6: SAO MIGUEL + FURNAS
Accommodation: A locally-run boutique 4* hotel in São Miguel
This morning, drive to the Parrish of Furnas. En route, stop at Pico de Ferro, a belvedere of exuberant vegetation. Continue to Furnas Lake, outlined by the Chapel Nossa Senhora das Victórias, reflected in its waters. Witness the volcanic fumaroles, used as natural stoves to cook the famous cozido, which is boiled in the ground. Savor a delicious Azorean lunch and then visit Terra Nostra Park, a beautiful witness of the English romantic gardens. Enjoy the natural warm bath of the hot springs at Furnas. Conclude your day's adventures with a stop at Vila Franca, tasting the local pastries of the region. This evening is at leisure.

DAY 7: PONTA DELGADA + LAGO DE FAGO
Accommodation: A locally-run boutique 4* hotel in São Miguel
Following a delicious breakfast, visit Fogo Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes of Sāo Miguel Island and one of the best naturally preserved waters. Continue to Ribeira Grande, the center of baroque art. Open your palette to the local taste of Azorean passion fruit liquor at the local liquor shop, Ferreira, the crown jewel for tasting. Travel along the northern coast with stops at the belvedere of Santa Iria and tea factory of Gorreana for a local tea tasting. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon at leisure. Gather this evening for a Farewell to the Azores Dinner and cultural music at a local Azorean gem.

DAY 8: DEPART PONTA DELGADA
Depart Ponta Delgada on your international flight home. As you return home, relish memories made on your Azorean adventure.

Your Trip Price
*On group trips, you’ll be paired with a roommate of your same gender unless you request your own room.
Your journey starts in Pico, Azores and concludes in Ponta Delgada, Azores.
Your Azores quotation has been prepared for 9 days & 7 nights.
Pricing is dependent on total of party and season traveling.

Passport
If traveling internationally, you must be in possession of a passport valid for 6 months after the return from your trip.
Deposit (Pre-planned trips)
A $1,500 non-refundable deposit is required for each traveler to secure the booking. 50% of your balance is due 30 days following your confirmation (varies by destination). Your final balance is due 90 days prior to the trip start date (dependent on the trip).
Rates + Fares
Rates quoted are accurate at the time of quotation and are subject to change until the program is confirmed. All rates are based upon official exchange rates that are guaranteed once programs are paid in full. Air quotes are based on current fares and are subject to change prior to ticketing. Rates are based on confidential tariffs and quoted for a complete program. No price breakdowns will be provided.
Payment
Payments can be made either by 1) full payment on booking 2) Deposit on booking + payment schedule. Payments will be invoiced via email for credit card or via check by mail.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations, less the trip deposit, are refundable up to 90 days prior to the trip start date unless otherwise specified. In addition to the above, you will be liable for any non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers on your behalf. There is no refund for a partially completed tour or for unused services of any kind.
Flexible Booking Policy Specific to COVID-19
In the wake of COVID-19, Worldwide Willett, LLC has implemented a flexible booking policy that allows for deposits and payments to be transferable to the greatest extent possible to new trip dates, should a recurrence of COVID-19 render travel impossible due to border closures and related travel restrictions.
Travel Insurance
The trip price does not include travel insurance. Trip protection-style travel insurance that includes travel medical coverage is required for all trips with Worldwide Willett, LLC. The coverage must have a minimum $200,000 of medical coverage and include injury, medical, evacuation, and repatriation. Trip insurance information will be included upon your registration.
Airlines
Worldwide Willett, LLC has no control over any airline operations and is not responsible for schedule changes, delays or cancellations. Airline delays and any extra expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the airline.
Force Majeure
Worldwide Willett, LLC is not liable for acts of God, fire, weather, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangers incident to sea, land and air travel and other similar incidents beyond its control.
Responsibility
Worldwide Willett, LLC is a Georgia-based corporation purchasing transportation, hotel and cruise accommodations, restaurants and other services from various independent suppliers not affiliated with Worldwide Willett, LLC in any way. Although Worldwide Willett, LLC chooses the best suppliers available, the company has no right to control their operations and CANNOT, THEREFORE, BE LIABLE FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS which may occur due to (1) wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts of omission on the part of a supplier, its employees and others not under the direct control of Worldwide Willett, LLC, or (2) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment under the control of independent suppliers.
Documents, Personal Identification, Vaccinations
Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for all required travel documents including passport, visas, entry or exit fees, and vaccinations. Travelers are also solely responsible for any adverse consequences resulting from incomplete or defective documentation. Worldwide Willett, LLC does not cover the cost or assist in obtaining any of the above, and reserves the right to collect information on all.
